Overview
In this role, you will support the Rolling Stock Engineering Department to shape system requirements and ensure safe, compliant onboard systems. You will work within an international team across the project lifecycle, focusing on interfaces, verification, and homologation activities. You’ll apply engineering and RAMS methods to deliver integrated solutions and meet regulatory standards. This is a hands-on position with impact on installation, testing, and vehicle approval processes. You will contribute to a technologically advanced, inclusive Hitachi Rail environment.

Responsabilità
- Prepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS)
- Define and manage system interfaces throughout the project lifecycle
- Analyze and assess technical documentation from suppliers
- Prepare and verify system installation/integration drawings/specifications
- Conduct design reviews for onboard systems with internal teams and suppliers
- Prepare Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS) and Functional Test Specifications (FTS) including performance tests
- Attend stand-alone system tests and review test reports
- Support onboard integration, performance testing and validation phases
- Review design documentation with customers and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with input requirements, international railway regulations and standards
- Prepare documentation for vehicle approval and support homologation
Requisiti fondamentali
- 3-5 years of railway or complex industrial experience
- Good knowledge of railway regulations and standards
- Good knowledge of IBM DOORS requirements management tool
- Strong understanding of engineering processes and railway operations
- Solid grounding in system engineering and requirements management
- RAMS principles and processes knowledge
- Design verification and validation methodologies knowledge
- Electrical/Mechanical design software proficiency (AutoCAD, Creo, Catia, etc.)
- Electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering disciplines knowledge
- Office suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, international environment
- Strong organizational, teamwork, problem-solving and results-driven mindset
- Ability to liaise with internal/external stakeholders
- Willingness to travel for short-term national/international trips
- Master's Degree in Engineering
- English proficiency (B2)
