ppAre you a skilled Electrical Engineer ready to lead the design, installation, testing and maintenance of electrical systems for major Oil Gas project? /p pAre you looking for your next challenge? /p pHill International is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer ton support the expansion of a major offshore oil and gas complex in Libya. /p pThe project will be managed from Milan, and the successful candidate will be required to have the right to work in Italy. /p pAs the Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment used in oil and gas facilities. This includes ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with regulatory and company standards across all project phases, from design and construction to commissioning and operations. /p h3Roles and Responsibilities: /h3 ul liReview and consent to the design electrical power distribution systems (LV, MV, HV) for oil and gas installations. /li liReview the developed single - line diagrams (SLDs), load lists, cable schedules, grounding and lighting layouts. /li liReview and approve the selected electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, batteries, and motors. /li liPerform electrical system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination). /li liEnsure compliance with industry standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, API, NEMA, ATEX). /li /ul h3Project Execution Procurement /h3 ul liReview and approve vendor documents and technical specifications. /li liPrepare Material Requisitions (MRs), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs), and equipment datasheets. /li liInterface with other engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction teams to ensure design integration.
/li liSupervise installation of electrical systems and ensure compliance with approved designs and standards. /li liConduct inspection, testing, and pre - commissioning of electrical equipment. /li liParticipate in FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SATs (Site Acceptance Tests). /li liTroubleshoot issues during installation and commissioning phases. /li /ul h3Operations Maintenance /h3 ul liSupport operations teams in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems. /li liReview condition monitoring data (e.g., IR thermography, insulation resistance tests). /li liParticipate in root cause analysis for electrical failures. /li liEnsure asset integrity and optimize electrical system performance over the asset lifecycle. /li /ul h3Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills: /h3 ul liBachelor’s Degree from an accredited university /li liWork experience of five (5) years in the sought discipline after earning the university degree /li liExcellent spoken and written English including proven ability to write reports /li liIn - depth knowledge of electrical design for oil gas environments (onshore/offshore). /li liFamiliarity with hazardous area classification and equipment selection. /li liExperience with electrical system modeling software (ETAP, SKM, DigSILENT). /li liUnderstanding of electrical protection systems, earthing, lighting, and lightning protection. /li liStrong analytical, coordination, and communication skills. /li /ul pHill International provides program, project, and construction management services for clients in a range of sectors undertaking major construction projects across the world.
