The ideal candidate will have at least 2–3 years of experience in an industrial setting. The successful applicant will join the Digital Factory Innovation department, contributing to the development of Computer Vision solutions aimed at improving the efficiency, quality, and sustainability of production processes. The chosen candidate will play a key role in developing advanced Computer Vision solutions to enhance Pirelli's manufacturing activities. /p h3YOUR CORE ACTIVITIES /h3 ul liTechnology scouting: The candidate will identify and analyze vision system technologies and techniques to fulfill the system requirements (cameras, lights, full machines, different imaging technologies fusion..) /li liComputer Vision Development:
The candidate will contribute to designing and developing computer vision and advanced algorithms. These algorithms will focus on optimizing production workflows, reducing waste, and maintaining the highest standards of product quality, thereby enhancing productivity, quality, and sustainability in manufacturing processes. /li liCollaboration with Stakeholders: The role involves regular interaction and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, including industrial partners. Strong communication skills are essential for translating internal departmental requests into vision system concepts or solutions and presenting industrial requirements effectively to external partners. /li liDataset Production: The candidate will project and realize complex industrial datasets, primarily composed of images. These efforts aim to improve efficiency and quality within the manufacturing domain. /li liCommunication: The ideal candidate must be capable of presenting findings and results clearly to both internal management and external partners. Presentations must be accessible and understandable for both technical and non-technical audiences. /li /ul h3WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR /h3 ul liMaster's degree in computer science/computer engineering or related fields /li liAt least 2–3 years of experience in developing vision system solutions. /li liStrong knowledge of state-of-the-art Computer Vision technology (quality inspections, optical flow, image quality,
camera calibration, …) /li liStrong knowledge of state-of-the-art Computer Vision image processing (filters, edge detection, image segmentation, image analysis, …) /li liProficiency in coding principles, particularly Python, C#, C++, as well as CV libraries like Opencv and Halcon /li liExceptional problem-solving and teamwork skills. Proficiency in Python visualization libraries is required, along with the ability to effectively report and present results using plots and detailed reports. /li liItalian, English (both oral and written proficiency). /li /ul h3WHAT PUTS YOU IN POLE POSITION /h3 ul liDeep Learning techniques applied to image processing. /li liExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS and containerization technologies like Docker. /li liProject management experience (multi and parallel projects). /li /ul h3COMPENSATION PACKAGE /h3 ul liThe employment contract will be regulated by “Gomma Plastica” National Collective Bargaining Agreement /li liThe gross annual base salary (RAL) offered will be no less than €35.000 /li liThe Company is committed to offering a competitive compensation package and, following the selection process, may propose a final gross annual base salary above the stated level, commensurate with the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications /li liThe position's compensation package also includes a variable component and a competitive welfare and benefits offer.
