This role is responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, overseeing month-end and year-end close processes, leading reconciliations, and supporting internal and external audits. The Senior Accountant also acts as a key point of contact for cross-functional teams on financial matters and contributes to continuous process improvement within the finance function. /ph3Key accountabilities /h3ulliLead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting /liliReview and approve journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments /liliOversee fixed asset accounting, including asset creation, depreciation, and reconciliation /liliManage balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies proactively /liliSupport the preparation of management and statutory financial reports /liliCollaborate with external auditors, providing documentation and responding to audit queries /liliEnsure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies /liliSupport tax-related reporting,
including indirect tax reconciliations and documentation /liliAssist with budget monitoring and variance analysis in collaboration with finance leadership /liliContribute to system and process improvements to enhance efficiency and financial control /liliProvide guidance and mentorship to junior team members /li /ulh3Preferred qualifications /h3h3Education /h3ulliBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field /liliProfessional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) or working towards one /li /ulh3Experience /h3ulli5+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting roles /liliStrong understanding of accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or equivalent) /liliExperience preparing or reviewing financial statements /liliProficient with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills /liliProven ability to manage deadlines, prioritise tasks, and handle complexity /liliExperience supporting or leading audits is desirable /liliExperience supporting group consolidation activities, including intercompany reconciliations and consolidation reporting, is highly desirable. /liliStrong interpersonal and communication skills /li /ulh3Language Proficiency /h3ulliStrong written and verbal communication skills in English (CEFR C1+) /liliFor Italy based roles: fluent in Italian (CEFR C1+), French is a plus /liliFor France based roles: fluent in French (CEFR C1+), Italian is a plus /liliFor US based roles: Italian or French is a plus /li /ulh3What we offer /h3ulliHybrid working model /liliSalary range: 37.000,00 - 46.000,00.
