They must proactively identify and solve the most complex problems that impact the management and direction of the business. The Senior Principal Project Engineer is considered a specialist in the field of Project Engineering and they offer a broad base of knowledge about the Engineering function. The Senior Principal Project Engineer impacts the direction and resource allocation of programs and projects in their discipline and works within general functional policies and industry guidelines. The Senior Principal Project Engineer role requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop creative solutions to Project Engineering challenges. /p pbResponsibilities /b /p pbKey Tasks and Responsibilities: /b /p ul liManage the engineering scope of a McDermott project /li liEstablish and implement project procedures to ensure deliverables meet quality and technical content requirements in accordance with contract documents /li liManage the technical execution to support the business considerations established for the project /li liMay be responsible for a Unit/Area, a specific function, or may be assigned the Project Engineering Manager role on a project /li liRegularly requested to support the preparation of proposals for prospective projects /li liMay be assigned as the Project Manager for smaller projects /li liPractice and promote safety in designs and work processes /li liHelp prepare and understand the requirements of Engineering in the contract documents /li liProvide direction to and coordinate with the Engineering and Design Leads on an assigned project /li liDevelop and implement the Project Execution Plan: /li ul liDevelop internal/external Division of Responsibility (DOR) matrix as required /li liPrepare a Project Coordination Procedure /li liCommunicate project requirements to the team /li liSupervise and guide other Project Engineers /li /ul liEnsure effective communication among engineering disciplines: /li liDocument discussions and decisions related to the design /li liPrepare, review,



and approve meeting minutes /li liPrepare, review, and approve Technical Queries, Design Deviations /li liPrepare, review, and approve responses to RFI’s and other correspondence /liliPrepare and approve weekly and monthly reports for management /li liAssume responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity, and budget control /li liManage change Effectively and Proactively /li liDevelop and maintain Project Engineering documents: /li ul liAssemble and approve the Engineering Staffing Plan /li liEquipment List /li liPotential Change Notices /li liWeekly and Monthly reports for management /li liAction item lists (internal and external) /li /ul liReview work with clients, management, and project leads /li liCoordinate third-party interfaces /li liIdentify problems and coordinate with the engineering team to correct /li liLead orderly handover and archiving of the completed project: /li ul liApprove and submit the closeout report /li liReview and approve Lessons Learned submitted /li /ul liReview and provide input to Company work processes and procedures as requested /li liInterface with PMT and other functions within McDermott and with Clients for technical matters /li liAnticipate internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommend process; product or service improvements /li liSolve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business /li liProactively identify and solve the most complex problems that influence the management and direction of the project /li liPresent highly complex ideas, anticipate potential objections, and persuade others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view /li /ul pReports to: /p pProject: Project Manager, Project Engineering Manager /p pFunctional: Manager of Project Engineering/Eng. Dept Managers, Procurement, Construction/Fabrication team, Project Controls, Finance /p pSupervises: Project Engineers, Engineering Discipline Leads on a Project (PEM) /p pbQualifications /b /p pbEssential Qualifications and Education: /b /p ul liBachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Engineering /li li15-20 years of Project Engineering experience with 5-10 years of experience as a Project Engineering Manager on multiple projects /li liPreferably Registered Engineer in Training (ElT) or member of a professional engineering society as applicable /li liShow flexibility and ensure proper hand-over with regards to: ul liThe reassignment to other departments, construction sites, and fabrication yards /li liThe replacement of colleagues during illness and holidays /li liThe provision of assistance to other colleagues with heavy workloads (also other projects) when possible/desirable /li /ul /li liAble to represent the company (internal and external forums) and be an ambassador of McDermott values /li liManage/Learn of future current working methods and software applications /li liRecognized PEM or PE within the company /li liDemonstrated broad technical knowledge of detailed design engineering codes and standards /li liStrong in-depth knowledge of detailed engineering and design work procedures and processes /li liField assignment experience /li liHas experience in International Projects with multi-office (MOPEX) execution, part of a Joint Venture or Consortium Group /li liExperience developing proposals and contractual documentation /li liExperience acting in a PMT role for projects /li liExperience in revamping (Brownfield) and grassroots (Greenfield) projects /li liAble to read and understand contractual documentation /li liAble to effectively communicate with all stakeholders on a project /li /ul p#LI-SJ1 /p h3Informazioni sull'azienda /h3 pLutechresources /p pOur ingenuity fuels daily life.
