Environmental Engineer – Environmental Impact Assessment & Monitoring

ELC Electroconsult is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team composed of engineers, biodiversity experts, and sociologists. The successful candidate will be primarily involved in preparing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for energy projects and managing environmental monitoring for large infrastructure job sites across Asia, Africa, and South America.

Essential Requirements:
· Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering
· 3–5 years of experience in preparing EIAs for energy projects
· Proficiency in environmental modeling software (specifically for noise and atmospheric pollution)
· Good knowledge of GIS software
· Previous experience in environmental monitoring of infrastructure construction sites
· Proficiency in written and spoken English
· Availability for short-term overseas missions outside Europe (approximately 20% of the time)
Additional Skills (a plus):
· Knowledge of Spanish and/or French
· Experience in applying environmental and social standards of international financial institutions
· Specific experience in geothermal or hydropower projects
· Proficiency in river/fluvial modeling software
· Experience in assessing climate change factors and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions within EIAs
Location: Milan, Italy
Contractual and Compensation Terms:
- National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) for the Metalworking Industry xkiyazw
- Annual gross salary range: €40,000–€50,000
- Additional benefits: €10.00 meal vouchers, 13th-month salary, MetaSalute supplementary healthcare coverage, and Cometa pension fund
The overall compensation package will be determined based on an assessment of the candidate’s profile, taking into consideration their professional experience and the combination of technical and soft skills, in line with the organizational context and aimed at supporting the achievement of the company’s objectives.
