Transimeksa is one of the largest transport and logistics groups in Lithuania, and has been moving cargo across Europe since 1994. What started as a single office in Šiauliai has grown into an international group of around 1,500 people, working from seven offices in Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Germany and Italy — where our team, Transimeksa Italia, has been based near Turin since 2017.

About the Role
As a Domestic Freight Forwarder, you will coordinate and manage domestic road freight shipments within Italy, acting as the key link between clients, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and reliable deliveries. You will be part of our growing Domestic Department in Turin, with the operational scale and European network of the wider Transimeksa group behind you.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and coordinate domestic freight shipments (FTL/LTL) across Italy
- Source and negotiate rates with carriers and subcontractors
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation in compliance with domestic transport regulations
- Monitor shipments in transit and proactively resolve delays or issues
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal departments
- Provide clients with accurate shipment status updates and pricing quotations
- Maintain accurate records in the company's TMS/operating system
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce transport costs
Requirements:
- Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or domestic transport (preferred)
- Good knowledge of the Italian domestic road transport market
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with a TMS/logistics software is a plus
- Fluent Italian; working xkiyazw English is an advantage for cooperation with our international offices
- Team player with a proactive, problem-solving attitude
