Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) #2 role for a Luxury Resort in Kenya (German or Italian language skills preferred)
A prestigious luxury resort in Kenya is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant Manager (#2) to join its senior leadership team. This luxury resort is part of a well-respected hospitality group that owns and manages luxury properties in Europe, Indian Ocean and in East Africa.
Reporting directly to the Resident Manager , the EAM will be the #2 operational leader and will play a key role in the overall management, guest experience, team leadership, and financial performance of the resort. We are looking for a hands-on, commercially minded and highly polished hotelier who can operate effectively as the Resident Manager's right hand, take ownership of the resort's day-to-day operation, and assume overall operational responsibility in the Resident Manager's absence.
Experience in luxury resorts in Europe is preferred. German and Italian language skills will be valuable for this role.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be a well-rounded luxury hotelier with strong operational experience across the major hotel divisions, particularly Rooms and Food & Beverage .
Key requirements:
- Significant experience in luxury hotels and resorts , preferably internationally recognized properties.
- Strong European luxury-hospitality experience , with a preference for candidates who have worked in Germany and/or Italy .
- Previous experience at EAM, Hotel Manager, Director of Operations, Operations Manager , or comparable senior level.
- Broad operational knowledge across Rooms, F&B;, Guest Experience, and other key hotel functions .
- Proven ability to lead and develop senior department heads and multicultural teams .
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, P&L;, revenue, cost control, and service excellence .
- Previous luxury resort experience strongly preferred.
- International experience and excellent English communication skills essential.
