The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks within our Rolling Stock Engineering Department. And that’s where you come in.Accountabilities The main accountabilities include, but are not limited to:Prepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS) for electrical componentsAnalyze and assess technical documentation from SuppliersPrepare and verify electrical system installation/integration drawings/specifications (including material selection, electromagnetic/thermal analysis, etc.)Perform simulations to optimize electrical systems performance and energy efficiencyConduct design reviews (both internal and with suppliers) for the assigned work package, under the supervision of relevant Engineering Managers and Project Engineers Attend at system stand-alone type test and review type test reportsSupport manufacturing, testing and validation phasesReview design documentation with customers and suppliersPrepare electrical schematics,
collaborating with mechanical design teams to ensure seamless electromechanical integrationPrepare Bill of Materials (BoM) of electrical schematicsEnsure compliance with input requirements, international railway regulations and standards and project constraints (time, cost, quality)Prepare the documentation required for vehicle approval and support the homologation phaseRequired Skills/ KnowledgeExperience (3-5 years) in the Railway sector or in complex industrial environmentsGood knowledge of main railway regulations and standardsGood knowledge of IBM DOORS requirements management toolGood knowledge of engineering processes and railway operationsKnowledge of traction systems and power convertersKnowledge of RAMS principles and processesGood knowledge of electrotechnics and electronics disciplinesGood knowledge of design verification and validation methodologiesGood knowledge of electrical CAD tools (E3 preferred)Good knowledge of electrical components (relays, circuit brakers, cables, connectors, etc.)Good knowledge of electrical schematics designGood knowledge of electrical machine design principlesGood knowledge of electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., Ansys Maxwell, Motor-CAD).Good knowledge of thermal and electromagnetic analysisGood knowledge of office automation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, international and multicultural environmentStrong planning and organizational skills, alongside team-working and problem-solving mindsetAbility to liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including suppliers, partners,
