The Opportunity

We are seeking a Service Bartender to bring our bar and café program to life. This role crafts cocktails, pours wine and beer, and also delivers full food service, all while setting the vibe for guests. They are responsible for preparing beverages and food to spec, engaging guests with genuine hospitality, and keeping the bar and dining area running smoothly.

The ideal candidate is part craftsperson, part host, and part server. They take pride in a perfectly balanced cocktail. They also understand that the drink is only part of the job, and that guiding a guest through the food menu with the same care matters just as much.

They read the room instinctively. They know when a guest wants conversation and when they want to be left alone with their book. They keep multiple drink orders, food orders, tabs, and conversations moving without missing a beat. Confident behind the bar during a Friday night rush, they also bring the operational discipline to manage pours, plate food to standard, track inventory, and uphold responsible service with equal care.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve café menu items (e.g., sandwiches, salads, small plates, shared appetizers) to presentation standards
- Deliver full food and beverage service from order to table, ensuring accurate timing and course sequencing between kitchen and bar
- Communicate food allergies, modifications, and special requests clearly to kitchen staff via POS or verbally
- Maintain working knowledge of the full food menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information, to confidently answer guest questions
- Follow proper food handling, storage,



and temperature protocols in accordance with

health department standards

Qualifications

- Prior bartending and serving experience in a restaurant, bar, or hotel setting preferred
- Strong working knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wine, and beer
- California RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification and Food Handler's certification required or obtained upon hire
- Experience with POS systems and basic cash handling
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Passion for hospitality, craft beverages, and guest experience. Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask under pressure

Work Environment

- Active, on-your-feet role behind the bar for extended periods
- Frequent guest interaction in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Lifting kegs, cases, and boxes of glassware or liquor up to 40 lbs
- Exposure to noise, crowds, and evening/late-night shifts

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Wage Range: $25.00/hour plus tips
