pbr/ppbRegional Manager – Data Centre Design | Milan /b /ppbr/ppbThe Role /b /ppWe are looking for an experienced bRegional Manager /b to establish and grow our data centre design capability in Milan. /ppThis is a key leadership role combining business development, team building and technical design leadership. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Italian data centre market, established local relationships and the credibility to develop new client opportunities while building a high-performing technical team from the ground up. /ppWith a strong mechanical or electrical engineering background, you will provide technical leadership across projects while working closely with clients, design partners and internal teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality solutions. /ppThe role will suit someone who understands how the local market operates, knows where the opportunities are and has the ambition and ability to turn those opportunities into a sustainable regional business. /ppbr/ppbKey Responsibilities /b /pulliEstablish and develop the Milan regional design team from the ground up. /liliRecruit, develop and retain high-quality mechanical, electrical and multidisciplinary design talent. /liliBuild a strong local technical culture focused on quality, collaboration and client delivery. /liliDevelop and maintain relationships with key data centre clients, developers, contractors, consultants and industry partners across Italy. /liliIdentify and pursue new business opportunities within the Italian data centre market. /liliLead proposals, bids and client presentations through to successful appointment. /liliDevelop a sustainable regional pipeline and contribute to the wider business development strategy. /liliAct as a senior local representative of the business within the Italian data centre sector.
/liliProvide technical leadership across data centre design projects. /liliOversee the coordination and delivery of mechanical and electrical engineering solutions. /liliEnsure projects are delivered to appropriate technical, quality, programme and client requirements. /liliProvide oversight of design management, technical interfaces and multidisciplinary coordination. /liliPromote effective use of BIM and digital design processes across the team and projects. /liliWork closely with project managers, design managers, BIM teams, engineers and external consultants. /liliSupport project planning, resourcing, programme management and commercial performance where required. /liliEstablish consistent design standards, processes and quality controls within the regional team. /liliKeep the team informed of relevant Italian and European standards, regulations, technologies and industry developments. /liliShare knowledge and best practice with the wider business and other regional teams. /li /ulpbr/ppbExperience Required /b /pulliSignificant experience within the data centre / mission-critical design sector. /liliStrong knowledge of the Italian data centre market, ideally with an established network of relevant client and industry relationships. /liliProven experience developing client relationships and winning design consultancy work. /liliDemonstrable experience building, leading or significantly developing technical teams.
/liliStrong mechanical or electrical engineering background. /liliGood understanding of multidisciplinary building services design. /liliExperience working with BIM, digital engineering and coordinated design processes. /liliUnderstanding of design management and the interfaces between engineering disciplines. /liliExperience working alongside or within project management teams. /liliStrong commercial awareness and understanding of consultancy business development. /liliExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills. /liliProfessional fluency in Italian and English. /li /ulpbr/ppbThe Person /b /ppWe are looking for someone who combines technical credibility with entrepreneurial drive. /ppYou will understand the Italian data centre market and have the relationships, reputation and knowledge required to establish a meaningful presence in Milan. /ppYou will be equally comfortable discussing technical solutions with an experienced engineer, presenting a proposal to a major client, recruiting a new team member or developing a strategy for winning the next project. /ppMost importantly, you will be someone who wants to build something. /ppThis is an opportunity to create and shape a regional operation rather than simply manage an established team.
