Offer Description
The project aims at performing and achieving the following research activities:
a. modeling of space telescopes with active primary mirrors based on
contactless technology: development and use of numerical simulation
codes for adaptive optics, their extension from ground-based to space
applications,



and the development and integration of numerical codes
with opto-thermo-mechanical modeling software;
b. performance study of a space telescope with high-order active
wavefront control;
c. laboratory study of an active mirror prototype for space telescopes:
development and extension of the testing environment, and a campaign
of thermo-opto-mechanical measurements.
