Posizione: Junior Business Analyst – Banking & Payments
Location: Italy / Milano ONSITE.
Experience: 2–4 years.
Employment: Full-time.
We are looking for a Junior Business Analyst / Functional Analyst to join a dynamic international team working on projects and application services within the Banking & Payments domain.
The role is focused on supporting the evolution and day-to-day maintenance of payment-related applications, acting as a bridge between business stakeholders, IT teams and software developers.
The ideal candidate has already gained some experience in functional analysis and has a good understanding of banking payment processes, with the motivation to further develop their expertise in both domestic and international payment schemes.
Key Activities
Gather and analyse business and functional requirements, working closely with business users and technical teams.
Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and documentation.
Contribute to the definition of functional test scenarios, test cases and expected results.
Collaborate with development teams throughout the implementation and validation phases.
Support System Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
Analyse and track application defects, supporting their resolution with both business and technical stakeholders.
Contribute to application maintenance,



enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in project meetings and working sessions with stakeholders in an international environment.
Develop a progressively deeper understanding of banking payment processes and related applications.
Requisiti: Required Background & Skills
2–4 years of professional experience in Business Analysis, Functional Analysis or a similar role.
Previous experience within the Banking / Financial Services sector is strongly preferred.
Good knowledge of payment processes, both domestic and international.
Familiarity with SEPA and Instant Payments is a nice to have.
Understanding of cross-border payments and transfers is a nice to have.
Basic knowledge of SWIFT and financial messaging is a nice to have.
General understanding of clearing and settlement processes.
Ability to understand and analyse end-to-end payment flows is a nice to have.
Experience with functional testing and/or UAT activities.
Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
Good level of written and spoken English, suitable for working in an international environment.
