The successful candidate will lead the local Accounting & Finance team and take ownership across accounting, billing, taxation, financial reporting, partner affairs and finance/treasury.Working closely with the Office Head and international finance colleagues, you will provide meaningful financial analysis, interpret KPIs and trends, and support the office with forecasting, financial modelling and performance improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the integrity of the financial records for the Italian partnership.Lead the month-end close process.Oversee the firm's billing function and support new-client intake compliance where required.Take responsibility for Italian tax obligations.Prepare detailed monthly financial reporting, including analysis of results, KPIs and areas requiring attention.Prepare and present partner performance analysis, working with partners and the Office Head to identify performance improvement opportunities.Prepare forecasts and financial models for Italy.Work collaboratively with US and European finance teams on new processes, training and continuous improvement.Manage,
develop and support the Milan Accounting & Finance team.Work closely with the Milan Office Administrator to ensure the smooth running of accounting and administration.We are looking for an experienced finance professional with a strong accounting background and the ability to operate confidently in a complex, international professional-services environment.You will ideally have:A CPA or equivalent international accounting qualification.At least 7 years' relevant experience.Strong knowledge of billing processes and procedures.Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.The ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and take initiative.Experience working to tight deadlines and managing competing priorities.A strong service-focused approach and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.A competitive salary and benefits package is on offer, and lavoro da remoto arrangements are in place.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting and finance professional to take a high-impact leadership role within an international law firm, combining local financial responsibility with exposure to international finance operations.You will have the autonomy to manage the Milan finance function while partnering closely with senior stakeholders, including the Office Head, partners and international finance teams.
