Overview
As Legal Senior, you will lead IP and technology contracts, advising on patents, software protection, and licensing while guiding AI-related compliance.
You'll work with Technology, R&D;, and business development teams to ensure lawful, scalable solutions across partnerships, tech transfers, and joint initiatives.
You'll monitor evolving IP and AI regulation to anticipate business impact and liaise with external counsel.
This role blends legal strategy with cross-functional collaboration to protect and enable innovation.

Responsabilità
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating technology and commercial contracts (software development agreements, tech partnerships, joint development)
Advising on IP and industrial property matters (patents, software protection, trade secrets, trademarks) and safeguarding IP assets
Drafting and negotiating service agreements, joint ventures, and partnership frameworks
Managing technology transfer and licensing transactions (patent licenses, know-how transfers, research agreements) with third-party institutions and corporate partners
Providing legal support on AI-related matters, including EU AI Act compliance and data governance/ethical AI guidelines for R&D;
Liaising with external counsels and monitoring legislative/regulatory developments in IP, AI regulation, data protection, and technology law
Collaborating with Technology, R&D;, and business development to ensure legal compliance and best practices across tech initiatives
Supporting corporate governance activities (board resolutions, shareholders' meeting docs, corporate filings) in coordination with Head of Legal & Corporate Affairs
Requisiti fondamentali
Qualified Italian lawyer (Avvocato) with 5–7 years PQE in IP, technology contracts, or both
Law degree (Laurea Magistrale in Giurisprudenza); LL.M.
or advanced IP/Tech/Innovation law qualification is a plus
Proven experience drafting and negotiating technology, software licensing, and IP-related agreements in Italian and English
Strong knowledge of Italian and EU IP law (Codice della Proprietà Industriale, EU Patent Package, Software Directive, Trade Secrets Directive) and familiarity with international IP frameworks
Understanding of AI regulation (EU AI Act), data governance, and GDPR as they relate to tech products and R&D;
Experience with corporate law matters is a plus
Fluent Italian and excellent English; additional languages a plus
Analytical and problem-solving capabilities across multi-jurisdictional issues
Excellent communication and stakeholder management; ability to translate legal concepts into business advice
Proactive, hands-on, autonomous with ownership of projects
IP law expertise (patents, trade secrets, trademarks)
