Engineers work across application operations, infrastructure, data processing, and automation, with direct responsibility for production systems.We are looking for a DevOps & Data Platform Engineer to join our IT team.The roleWe are looking for an engineer to work across our production application platform and the data-processing workflows that support it.The role has a strong DevOps orientation, covering Kubernetes operations, deployment and release management, observability, infrastructure services, and production reliability, while also contributing to Python-based data pipelines, Apache Airflow workflows, and customer data integrations.This is a hands-on engineering role focused on improving platform reliability, maintainability, security, observability, and automation.What you'll work onDevOps, platform operations, and releasesTake technical ownership of the deployment, configuration, operation, and maintenance of applications and supporting services across development and production environments.Maintain and evolve Kubernetes deployments, Helm charts, networking, ingress, TLS certificates, persistent storage, configuration, and secrets.Plan and execute application releases, container image updates, Helm upgrades, database migrations, rollbacks, and post-release verification.Troubleshoot application, networking, storage, scheduling, configuration, and resource‑related issues across the platform.Operate and maintain platform services including PostgreSQL, MySQL, ClickHouse, Redis/Valkey, object storage, orchestration, networking,
and observability components.Maintain observability across metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting, and incident diagnosis.Maintain backup, restore, and disaster‑recovery procedures for stateful services.Automate recurring operational, housekeeping, and maintenance activities where practical.Data engineering and workflow orchestrationSupport the Data Engineering team in developing, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting Python-based ETL and data-processing pipelines for logistics and transport data from heterogeneous sources and external systems.Develop, maintain schedule, and monitor Apache Airflow DAGs, improving reliability, error handling, logging, alerting, and automated recovery.Investigate malformed, incomplete, or inconsistent source data and contribute to automating data‑quality checks, diagnostics, and error reporting.Replace manual or local data-processing utilities with documented, version‑controlled, repeatable, and automated processes.Act as technical owner for selected customer data integrations, understanding their data sources, processing requirements, and customer‑specific configuration.Assess changes in customer data formats or upstream systems, investigate integration issues, and coordinate technical changes with internal teams and customer‑facing stakeholders.What we're looking forProduction experience with Kubernetes, Helm, containers, and Docker.Experience deploying, operating, and troubleshooting distributed applications in Kubernetes environments.Good working knowledge of Python for automation, backend services, data processing, or integration development.Strong SQL skills and practical experience with relational databases. Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or ClickHouse is particularly relevant.Experience developing or operating Apache Airflow workflows.Working knowledge of observability practices across metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting, and incident diagnosis.Ability to investigate production incidents through diagnosis,
remediation, verification, and root‑cause analysis.Ability to translate operational and data‑processing requirements into maintainable and automated technical solutions.Ability to work autonomously across infrastructure, applications, databases, and data‑processing workflows.Professional written and spoken Italian and English.We are looking for candidates with previous professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, Data Engineering, or comparable production engineering roles.
