Senior / Principal Biostatistician Statistical Programmer / Technology Lead – Global Pharma | Italy (Hybrid) Shape the Future of Drug Development Are you an experienced statistical programmer technical lead, ready to take your expertise to the next level? Our client, a leading international pharmaceutical company, is looking for a Principal Biostatistician Statistical Programmer / Technology Lead to join their dynamic and collaborative team. The company are based in Italy, working hybrid (4 days to be based in office in Milan). This position would require: Project Team Leadership: Directs all programming activities for clinical trials (Phase I–IV) or large global projects, coordinating work across internal teams and external contractors. Regulatory Compliance: Ensures clinical data, analysis datasets, and reporting outputs strictly conform to global standards like CDISC standards (SDTM and ADaM) Technical Strategy Innovation: Drives the integration of new technologies, automation tools,
and programming languages (such as transitioning from traditional SAS to hybrid environments using R or Python and AI tools). Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partners closely with biostatisticians, data managers, and medical writers to design statistical analysis plans and resolve complex data issues. Resource Quality Management: Allocates team workloads, sets project timelines, and mentors junior or senior programmers to ensure high technical standards. Why Join This Team?
