This is a high-impact role where you will partner across the business to ensure controls are robust, practical, and fit for purpose—while supporting commercial agility.You will work closely with Front Office, Risk, Operations, Finance, Compliance, and Senior Management, acting as a trusted advisor and independent voice to enhance governance, risk awareness, and overall control effectiveness.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, enhance,



and implement a robust yet pragmatic control framework tailored to an energy trading businessIdentify control gaps, assess risks, and drive practical, sustainable improvements through to completionPartner with trading desks and support functions to understand workflows, risks, and key control pointsLead investigations, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actionsStrengthengovernance, escalation practices, and overall risk awareness across the organizationAct as a trusted partner to senior stakeholdersDrive key strategic initiatives independently, with full ownership and accountabilityBalance strategic thinking with hands‑on involvement in day‑to‑day operational mattersChallenge constructively and facilitate difficult conversations to ensure the right outcomesQualificationsProven experience in energy trading, commoditiesorwholesale environmentsStrong understanding of trading desk operations and key associated risksDemonstrated experience in controls, xysqume governance, risk management or internal audit roles in the energy spaceComfortable operating at senior levels and engaging with a wide range of stakeholdersConfident communicator with the ability to challenge and influence constructivelyStrong analytical skills with experience in issue investigation and root‑cause analysisAble to balance commercial realities with the need for strong controlsAbility to lead projects and drive continuous improvement initiativesindependentlyA high-impact role with significant visibility and influence across the businessThe opportunity to shape and strengthen the control environment in a dynamic trading organizationA collaborative environment where your expertise and judgement are valuedExposure to senior leadership and strategic decision‑making#J-18808-Ljbffr
