Bunge is a global leader in agribusiness, food and ingredients, committed to connecting farmers to consumers to deliver essential food, feed, and fuel. We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our team in Porto Corsini, supporting our production operations and driving continuous improvement.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will oversee and optimize daily plant production, ensuring compliance with Bunge Italia’s quality, safety, and environmental standards. You will play a key role in improving performance, solving operational challenges, and supporting plant efficiency.
In this role, you will coordinate daily activities across: 10 Crushing Operators, 3 Refinery & Crushing Operators and 5 Shift Leaders.
Key Responsibilities

- Monitor daily production processes to ensure performance aligns with safety, quality, and operational standards
- Identify, analyze, and manage process deviations, coordinating corrective actions with Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and Production teams
- Supervise and support maintenance interventions at the operational level
- Track, analyze, and improve department KPIs, working closely with operators and shift leaders
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement and plant optimization projects
- Develop,
update, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Train operators and shift supervisors on processes and procedures
- Manage inventory of consumables (e.g. chemicals), ensuring continuous production through effective stock control and reordering
- Maintain accurate records of production losses and ensure data entry in SAP
- Make data‑driven decisions to improve plant performance and align with Bunge’s global strategy
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience

- Degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar
- Experience not required, but exposure to industrial or continuous production environments is a plus
- Experience in industrial xjncmbx plants, mechanical or port environments is beneficial
Technical Skills
-
- Good knowledge of SAP (preferred)
- Strong command of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Understanding of quality, safety, and environmental regulations
- Knowledge of industrial equipment such as centrifugal and lobe pumps, motors and reducers, and centrifugal separators
- Proficient in English and Italian
- Training in industrial mechanics and/or electrical systems
- Knowledge of HACCP and workplace risk prevention
- Certifications related to industrial safety, quality, or environmental systems
