We are looking for an experienced Business Program Manager to launch and drive a focused churn reduction program in a subscription business. You will turn retention priorities into a coordinated portfolio of initiatives, bring together teams across the organization, and help leadership make clear, timely decisions.
This role combines strong program management with commercial judgment. You should be comfortable moving from the economics of a retention initiative to the practical details of getting several workstreams delivered.
What You Will Do
- Set up and run the churn program: define workstreams, owners, milestones, decision forums, risks, and a regular performance review
- Coordinate working groups across multiple projects and functions, including Product, Marketing, Customer Care, Sales, Finance, Data, and Technology
- Manage stakeholders in a complex organization, resolve dependencies, and escape decisions when needed
- Prepare concise executive presentations that explain performance, initiative progress, expected impact, trade-offs, and decisions required
- Work with Finance and Analytics to quantify the potential and realized impact of each workstream, including assumptions, costs, timing, and confidence levels
- Help teams identify and prioritize opportunities across churn prevention, retention, and loyalty, using customer insight and commercial value
- Define the handover plan and all the documentation needed to make sure the program will remain on track
What You Bring
- Around 8 years of relevant experience in Business program management, strategy, commercial operations, or a related role; experience in a subscription business is strongly preferred
- A track record of launching and coordinating cross-functional programs with multiple projects and senior stakeholders
- A sound understanding of subscription economics, including recurring revenue, customer lifetime value, acquisition and retention costs, margins, and the value of reducing churn
- The ability to build credible Business cases, challenge assumptions, and work with analytical teams to estimate and validate initiative impact
- Strong executive communication skills: you can turn complex analysis and delivery issues into clear recommendations and effective presentations
Project language: English fluent mandatory, German nice to have.
Workplace: Hybrid, at the Client's site 3 days a week (Munich, Germany).
