The Opportunity

We are seeking a Houseperson to provide essential support to our housekeeping team, keeping guest floors, linen closets, and storage areas stocked, organized, and running efficiently. In this role, you are responsible for the heavy lifting, deep cleaning, and logistical support that keeps our Housekeeping Room Attendants moving smoothly through their day.

The ideal Houseperson is dependable, physically capable, and genuinely takes pride in being the behind-the-scenes support their team can always count on. They move efficiently between floors, keeping carts stocked and linen closets organized without being asked twice, and they pitch in wherever the department needs an extra hand, whether that's a deep clean, a furniture move, or a delivery to a guest room. Hardworking and easy to work alongside, they understand that a well-supported housekeeping team is what keeps the whole hotel running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

· Transport clean and soiled linens between guest floors, laundry, and storage areas

· Stock and organize housekeeping carts, linen closets, and supply rooms to par levels

· Remove trash and recyclables from guest floors and service areas throughout the shift

· Assist Room Attendants with heavy lifting, room turns, and deep cleaning projects

· Deliver guest requests such as extra towels, pillows, cribs, or rollaway beds promptly and courteously

· Vacuum and maintain cleanliness of hallways, stairwells, and service corridors

· Move furniture and set up or break down rooms or spaces for special requests or events as needed

· Report maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards observed during rounds

· Operate cleaning equipment safely, including vacuums and floor care machines





· Support housekeeping leadership with inventory counts and supply organization

· Interact professionally and courteously with guests encountered on guest floors

Qualifications

· Prior housekeeping, custodial, or general labor experience preferred

· Physical stamina for a role involving frequent lifting, carrying, and walking throughout the shift

· Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (linens, furniture, supplies) safely

· Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision

· Basic understanding of cleaning equipment and chemical safety, or willingness to be trained

· Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

· Respectful, guest-friendly demeanor when encountered on guest floors

Work Environment

· Physically demanding role involving continuous walking, lifting, carrying, and pushing loaded carts throughout the shift

· Frequent use of cleaning and moving equipment

· Occasional brief interactions with guests on floors and in hallways

· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly, including linens, furniture, and supplies

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Wage Range: $25.00/hour

Additional benefits for full-time employees include:

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
