Our client is an international company operating in the retail sector, currently undergoing strong expansion in Italy.

We are looking for a hands-on and highly operational Payroll Manager to take full ownership of payroll and personnel administration in Italy.

This is not a purely managerial or strategic position. The role requires a senior payroll specialist mindset — someone who enjoys the day-to-day detail, understands operational complexity, and is ready to assume full responsibility while building processes in a hands-on, growing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
End-to-end payroll management for 200+ employees (and growing)




Manual review and validation of payroll data
Reconciliation of variable components (night shifts, overtime, bonuses, etc.)
Coordination with external labor consultants
Implementation and parameterization of payroll ERP
Development and structuring of payroll processes
Ensure full compliance with Italian labor legislation and CCNL

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
7+ years of payroll experience in Italy in multi-site environments
Fluency in English (Spanish is a plus)
Experience managing a high volume of employees
Strong knowledge of Italian labor law and CCNL
Hands-on experience with variable payroll components
Experience with payroll ERP systems (implementation or migration is highly valued)
Advanced Excel skills
