ph3bJob Description /b /h3 pGalileo is a bfast-growing renewable energy IPP, investor and operator /b, currently in the very dynamic start-up phase. Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over b17 GW /b of bsolar /b PV, bonshore wind /b, boffshore wind /b and bstorage /b projects across bnine /bb markets /b in Europe. /p pWe are looking for our new bCompliance Manager /b to play a critical role in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and ethical practices across the Galileo group. This person will be based in Milan (with the possibility of hybrid remote working) and report to the General Counsel. /p h3bWhat You’ll Do /b /h3 ul liSupport the ongoing implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the company’s compliance framework, policies and procedures, proposing updates or new initiatives where appropriate. /li liMonitor the effectiveness of existing compliance controls and processes, identify opportunities for improvement and recommend pragmatic solutions to enhance efficiency and consistency across the organization. /li liConduct regular assessments and audits to identify potential compliance risks and areas for improvement and independently manage follow-up actions and remediation plans. /li liCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, operations, and project management, to integrate compliance considerations into business processes and decision-making. /li liMonitor changes in regulatory requirements and industry trends, and proactively advise senior management on potential impacts and opportunities. /li liCoordinate and deliver existing compliance training programs and, where needed, develop additional training or awareness initiatives to address emerging risks or business needs. /li liServe as a primary point of contact for our shareholders, plus for regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other external stakeholders on compliance-related matters, in coordination with the General Counsel where appropriate. /li liSupport internal investigations into potential compliance breaches or concerns, including gathering information, coordinating relevant stakeholders,
documenting findings and monitoring the implementation of corrective actions. /li liMaintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance activities, ensuring transparency and accountability. /li liPrepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, board of directors and relevant stakeholders highlighting key compliance metrics, initiatives, and challenges. /li liSupport the General Counsel on sustainability and ESG topics, including governance framework design, the update of group policies and procedures, and ESG reporting towards investors. /li liStay abreast of emerging compliance frameworks and technologies, and recommend innovative approaches to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. /li /ul h3bRequirements /b /h3 ul liMaster degree in law; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Compliance Ethics Professional) preferred. /li li4-6 years of experience in compliance management, preferably within the renewable energy industry or a closely related sector. /li liGood understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks, such as environmental regulations, energy policies, and corporate governance requirements. /li liHands-on experience in managing and maintaining compliance programs, policies, procedures, risk assessments and controls within a complex or international organization. /li liExcellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify compliance risks and develop pragmatic solutions. /li liEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. /li liSound judgment and integrity, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a culture of integrity and accountability.
