/p h3Questa Posizione Risponde a /h3 pGlobal Head IS Enterprise Architecture /p h3Your Role And Responsibilities /h3 pIn this role, you will have the opportunity to define and govern the enterprise-wide application architecture across ABB.
Each day, you will be making sure that our application landscapes evolve coherently while enabling business units and product teams to retain autonomy in how they build and run applications.
You will also be responsible for setting up enterprise guardrails, target states, and decision frameworks for application architecture, focusing on modularity, lifecycle management, interoperability, and alignment to business capabilities.
This role has no direct reports.
/p pThe work model for the role is: /p h3You Will Be Mainly Accountable For /h3 ul liDirecting the development of enterprise domain architecture and processes, to ensure that change is embedded in the organization management.
This includes establishing guardrails for:ul liApplication modularity and coupling /li liBuy vs build /li liSaaS vs custom development /li liApplication lifecycle and decommissioning /li liDeveloping, enhancing, and maintaining ABB-wide architecture best practices, policies, standards, guidelines, and processes to ensure that a consistent technology framework is applied across ABB through your own area of responsibility.
/li liAssessing the existing IT environment, developing a future state IT architecture, ensuring technology compatibility with existing solutions, infrastructure, services, and strategic direction,
and overseeing architectural review of new designs and acting as the final escalation point for cross-domain or cross-portfolio application decisions.
/li liGuiding enterprise application portfolio management in collaboration with business and IT representative and defining criteria for: application investment, modernization or replacement, decommissioning and consolidation.
/li liMonitoring and reporting compliance level of the architecture landscape and flagging cross-ABB planning and road mapping implications.
/li /ul /li /ul h3Qualifications For The Role /h3 ul li10+ years in application or enterprise architecture roles in large, decentralized, or federated organizations /li liProven track record in application modernization and portfolio rationalization /li liExperience influencing architecture without direct delivery ownership /li liExpertise in application architecture patterns (monolith, microservices, modular monoliths), SaaS and COTS integration models, domain-led design and capability mapping application lifecycle management and hybrid and multi-cloud application environments /li liStrong architectural judgement and pragmatic decision-making /li liAbility to balance enterprise consistency with local set-up /li liExecutive-level communication and storytelling /li liComfortable in facilitating trade-offs across cost, speed, and risk /li /ul pThis opportunity is open to candidates in multiple countries, with the final work location determined based on the selected candidate.
