SPV Project & Contract Manager
Location: Milan, Italy (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to €80,000
Are you an experienced Project Manager with strong exposure to contract management, project finance and renewable energy infrastructure?
Piper Maddox are working with an innovative and rapidly growing renewable energy company looking to appoint an SPV Project & Contract Manager to support the delivery of its growing portfolio of energy projects in Italy.
This is a highly cross-functional role, sitting at the intersection of project delivery, contracts, finance and development . You will take ownership of projects from the point they enter the backlog stage through to COD, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget and in line with all contractual obligations .
The Role
As the SPV Project & Contract Manager, you will act in the interests of each Project Company (SPV), coordinating internal teams, contractors, suppliers, lenders and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
You will play a key role in identifying and mitigating project risks, managing contractual relationships and supporting projects through financial close and construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Take accountability for the successful delivery of multiple renewable energy projects from backlog stage through to COD.
- Manage the handover of projects from Business Origination and coordinate the contractual and commercial requirements of each SPV.
- Review and manage key project agreements, including PPAs, grid connection agreements, EPC and O&M; contracts.
- Identify contractual risks and deviations and develop mitigation strategies to protect the interests of the SPV.
- Work closely with EPC Project Managers to ensure contracts are structured appropriately and projects are delivered in line with contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with Project Finance teams and external lenders throughout the financial close process.
- Manage SPV budgets, cash flow monitoring, guarantees and lender reporting.
- Support project acquisition due diligence and manage post-acquisition development activities.
- Coordinate external advisors, consultants and service providers to ensure projects are developed efficiently and cost-effectively.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in project management, contract management or project development within renewable energy or energy infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of the renewable energy project lifecycle, from development through to construction and COD.
- Experience working with EPC, O&M;, PPA and grid connection agreements .
- Exposure to project finance and financial close processes .
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
- Experience coordinating multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- A degree in Engineering, Management Engineering or a related discipline.
- Fluent Italian and English are essential. French would be an advantage.
