Legga i dettagli completi qui sotto e invii la sua candidatura oggi stesso.Position Reports ToSafety SuperintendentPosition OverviewWorking closely with Underground Operations, the role of Underground Safety Advisor is to promote, coordinate, and implement activities to maintain and improve high levels of health and safety in the underground setting. The incumbent will develop and implement programs and activities necessary to prevent incidents that may result in personal injury or property damage, oversee and align with underground Contractor Safety Departments and support industrial hygiene management including associated testing. This position is based full-time at the Mine Site and consists of 12 hour days on a 7 Days On, 7 Days Off rotation.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement and convey health and safety procedures and assist Mine Operations on SOP development.Develop underground programs and procedures and participate in risk assessments.Work with other site operations to determine current safety issues.Respond to queries and provide information to all employees and safety committees.Assist in the management of complex health and safety issues relating to the underground environment.Participate and/or lead incident/accident investigations.Implement activities for employee health and safety.Participate in toolbox talks of departments.Develop toolbox topicsEnsure the effective implementation of all health and safety related activities.Maintain alignment with Contractor Safety ProgramAdhere to policies and procedures related to health and safety and follow established procedures and quality standards.Prepare reports and complete required documentation related to health and safety.Ensure required reference material is current and consistent with regulations and policies.Provide technical H&S assistance with Underground Capital and Construction-based projects related to health and safety.Assist ERT Coordinator with compliance with Ontario Mine Rescue requirements. xysqume QualificationsCollege or Technical diploma in a related field is an assetCSRP or equivalent is an assetOperational experience in the UG mining field3 - 5 years of related health and safety experienceComprehensive knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants as they pertain to underground miningExperience in a recognized Mine Rescue program preferredStrong organization skills with the ability to plan and schedule programs and activitiesEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to function with all levels of the organization with multiple internal and external stakeholdersTrain-the-Trainer certification and/or adult training accreditation will be considered an assetCompensationThe anticipated salary range for this position will be between $100,000.00 - $120,000.00.*Note: this employment opportunity is based on an actual current vacancy, not just for future considerationWhy New Gold?Highly competitive base salary, compensation programs and a quarterly incentive programExtended Health & Dental BenefitShort-term and long-term disability insurance benefitDefined match contribution to group registered retirement savings accountCamp and Travel Allowance provided#J-18808-Ljbffr
