Position Summary
Indirect & Capex buyer
Main responsibility
Implements the activities associated with the managed local spend for designated commodity categories
Responsible for identification and evaluation of opportunities within the commodity categories managed for reduction of spend, consolidation of supply base, function and continuity of supply
Deliver continuous improvement in cost, process and services within the commodity categories
Manage requests for quotation, negotiations, selection and supplier development processes
Manage order editing according to company needs and policies
Draft contracts and understands the legal requirements of contract formulation.
Timely reporting (activity status reports, financial results etc.) within the organization
Advising plants on market trends,
risks and opportunities
Main opportunities and challenges:
Take the lead on cross plants commodities or on local organization
Job position requirements
Education:
University bachelor degree
Engineer, Economics or equivalent
Professional background
Several years successful track record in purchasing and supply chain management
Degree or equivalent experience
Able to manage team-working
Hard skills
Essential:
Familiar with key cost drivers and industry related events tied to assigned category (Indirect Spend + Capex).
Minimum bi-lingual with fluent English language skills. A third language will be valuable also.
Sourcing and Category Planning:
Conducts purchasing portfolio analysis, understands positioning of key suppliers and develops appropriate sourcing strategies
Supplier Negotiation
Has an established track record and uses a range of tools, (competitive tendering etc.). Is able to quickly analyse supply market data and use this to advantage in the negotiation process.
Benchmarking:
Has a positive approach to new ideas generated from working with other departments and business.
Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and Agreeing Contracts
Develops specifications and manages wide range of structured tendering/bid processes. Demonstrates how to construct/manage complex contracts, performance indicators and service levels
Purchasing Process Improvement
Analyses process in supply chain to ensure optimum workflows and takes active steps to remove non-value added work. Challenges the status quo and engages help and support from other functional groups.

Compensation : Starting gross annual salary (RAL): starting at €50.000, Level B2 - CCNL Metalmeccanica Industria -
The total compensation package will be determined based on the candidate’s skills and professional experience.
