ppRINA is currently recruiting for a bMilano Marine Surveyor /b to join its office in Milano, Italy within the Mediterranean and Africa Marine Division.
/p h3Mission /h3 pThe Senior Surveyor is an experienced professional with strong knowledge of testing activities, verification processes, and applicable Rules and Regulations.
The role focuses primarily on product testing and inspections at manufacturers, acting as a key technical and commercial reference for clients and ensuring effective coordination of all testing activities in the assigned area.

/p /li lipMaintains awareness of developments impacting testing and verification workflows.
/p /li /ul pInspection and Reporting: /p ul lipConducts inspections and testing activities mainly at manufacturers to verify compliance with applicable standards.
/p /li lipPrepares accurate and timely technical reports.
/p /li /ul pLeadership and Coordination: /p ul lipPlans and coordinates testing activities in the assigned area, ensuring efficient cooperation with colleagues and resources.
/p /li lipMonitors service quality and supports junior personnel when required.
/p /li /ul pClient Interaction: /p ul lipServes as primary point of contact for clients, managing both technical and commercial aspects.
/p /li lipEnsures client satisfaction through clear communication and proactive issue resolution.
/p /li /ul pTraining and Development: /p ul lipProvides guidance to less experienced surveyors involved in testing activities.
/p /li /ul pQuality Assurance: /p ul lipEnsures consistency, completeness, and quality of all assigned activities.
/p /li /ul pEthical Conduct: /p ul lipUpholds integrity, transparency, and fairness across all processes.
/p /li /ul pTechnical and Commercial Responsibilities for Testing Services:



/p ul lipPromotes RINA's testing and product verification services within the region.
/p /li lipConducts technical/commercial meetings to explain procedures, assess requirements, and identify new opportunities.
/p /li lipSupports preparation of technical-commercial proposals (scope, cost, scheduling, compliance).
/p /li lipEnsures proper execution of testing activities, verifying resources, competencies, and adherence to standards.
/p /li lipManages communication with clients throughout the execution of tests.
/p /li lipMonitors market trends to support the development of RINA's service portfolio.
/p /li lipEnsures full compliance with RINA Rules, statutory requirements, procedures, and principles of quality and safety.
/p /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul lipMinimum 4 years' experience as Surveyor or 4 years in engineering/inspection with an IACS Classification Society.
/p /li lipUnderstanding of RINA's technical positioning in the marine industry.
/p /li lipProficiency in Italian and English.
/p /li lipAbility to work with RINA Rules, statutory regulations, and safety policies.
/p /li lipAbility to read engineering plans and good knowledge of materials, manufacturing practices, and industrial processes.
/p /li lipExperience in one or more of the following: /p ul lipTesting activities and manufacturers' certification /p /li lipNew building or in-service surveys /p /li lipMarine Management Systems audits /p /li /ul /li lipKnowledge of ship engineering systems is an asset,



though the role focuses mainly on inland-waterway activities and manufacturer testing.
/p /li lipProficiency with relevant software tools.
/p /li lipStrong ability to manage external interfaces and project-related coordination.
/p /li /ul h3Education /h3 pMaster's Degree in Naval Engineering or Mechanical Engineering /p h3Compensation Data /h3 pThe salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role?related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480).
/p pThe gross annual salary range foreseen is between € ****** and € ****** and will be finally defined on candidate's professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role.
/p pIn addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements.
