As Field Engineering Manager in Milan, you lead a team of pre-sales Solutions Architects and Solutions Engineers to drive revenue through value-focused, collaborative engagement. You will mentor, scale, and align field engineers with sales and partners, shaping a customer-obsessed culture in a hyper-growth environment. You communicate complex business value, support large deals, and strengthen strategic partnerships to amplify Databricks' brand and impact.

Responsabilità

- Lead and grow the pre-sales team in Italy (Solutions Architects/Engineers)
- Partner with sales to drive revenue through value-based approaches
- Hire, mentor, and build a collaborative, high-performance culture
- Improve ROI of solutions architects' involvement in sales cycles
- Promote solution- and value-based selling within the FE organization
- Understand account needs and revenue potential in the region
- Engage with customer executives to fortify strategic partnerships




- Align with partners and internal services on implementation strategies
- Strengthen Databricks' brand as part of the regional Leadership Team with Marketing and Sales across the region

Requisiti fondamentali

- Experience managing a team of Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS professionals
- Experience in consumption-based business environments
- Mentoring and scaling technical teams
- Proven ability to establish processes for technical field members xjncmbx to improve efficiency and product focus
- Ability to collaborate with Sales and cross-functional leaders
- Passion for data and AI and ability to articulate value of Databricks solutions
- Technical or consulting background in Data Engineering, Database technologies, or Data Science
- Strong communication skills; Italian native speaker and fluent in English
