Role Description The Food and Beverage Service Supervisor will oversee daily operations in the hotel’s restaurants, bars, and event spaces, ensuring consistent, high-quality service and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities include supervising service staff, coordinating shift schedules, supporting training and coaching, and monitoring compliance with brand standards, hygiene, and safety regulations. The role will collaborate closely with the kitchen and banquet teams to manage service flow, handle guest requests, and resolve any service issues promptly and professionally.
The supervisor will also assist with inventory control, menu knowledge, and implementation of upselling strategies to maximize revenue while maintaining a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Milan at Sheraton Milan Malpensa Airport Hotel & Conference Center.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in food and beverage service supervision, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant environment.
- Strong team leadership skills, including staff coordination, coaching, and performance support.
- Solid knowledge of restaurant and bar service standards, banquet operations, and guest service best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and service quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest relations and conflict resolution.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and occupational health and safety regulations.
- Basic administrative and organizational skills for scheduling, reporting, and inventory monitoring.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Italian and additional languages is an advantage.
- Previous experience in international or branded hotel chains is beneficial.
- Availability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
