EFI is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our Business Unit in Comun Recente (BG), Italy.
To strengthen the EFI Reggiani Service Team within our traditional textile printing division, we are looking for a dynamic and customer-oriented Field Service Engineer. The ideal candidate should be based in the Bergamo area and have a strong passion for engineering, troubleshooting, and servicing complex electromechanical equipment.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- This position requires extensive travel throughout Europe and to customer sites worldwide.
- Provide end-to-end technical support to our global customer base.
- Provide on-site technical support for our inkjet and conventional textile printers.
- Support trade shows and exhibitions, including machine setup and calibration, demonstrations, and tear-down activities.
- Deliver end-user training at operator level.
- Provide technical feedback and recommendations to the Italian R&D; and Service teams.
Job Requirements
- Technical degree or equivalent experience in Mechatronics (mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering) or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of textile printing products and chemical processes is considered an advantage.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong interest in computer technology and machine calibration.
- Knowledge of Siemens S7 PLCs, Sinamics systems, and brushless motors and drives is required.
- Experience in commissioning industrial machinery is considered a strong advantage.
- Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Windows operating systems is required.
- Strong communication skills, customer focus, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Availability to travel extensively, often at short notice. The candidate must be available to travel abroad for periods of 2 to 4 consecutive weeks, for approximately 6 to 8 months per year.
