As an ERTMS Functional Design Engineer, you will deliver Signalling system and subsystem validation and verification within scope of RAMS governance. You will work in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with RAMS, Engineering, Operations and external suppliers to ensure compliant, on-time delivery. The role focuses on defining testing environments, V&V; plans, and delivering V&V; documentation.
You will engage in design reviews, field tests, and provide technical support for safety assessments. This position offers a chance to shape railway signaling solutions and contribute to Hitachi Rail's mission of advanced transport technologies.
Responsabilità
- Guarantee delivery of Signalling system and subsystem solutions in compliance with requirements, quality, schedule and budget
- Define and implement V&V; plans and Validation Test Specifications for Signalling systems
- Deliver V&V; documentation at system and subsystem levels in collaboration with RAMS, Engineering, O&M; and suppliers
- Support V&V; activities across projects, bids,
and delivery phases (planning, reviews, field tests)
- Ensure subsystems' V&V; evidence from suppliers
- Provide V&V; reports and maintain appropriate independence per standards and SILs
- Support RAMS management interfaces with Independent Safety Assessor, Employer and External Authorities
- Provide schedule and cost progress to RAMS Manager
- Define testing environments/tools requirements for Signalling V&V; activities
Requisiti fondamentali
- Up to 5 years of RAMS and/or V&V; experience
- Availability for short travels
- Past experience with testing and validation of xkiyazw ERTMS systems (desirable)
- Proficiency in Testing and Validation processes for complex systems, preferably railway per EN50128
- Compliance with project schedules and quality/cost targets
- Strong collaboration with RAMS Managers, suppliers and cross-functional teams
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
