eCommerce Manager

Who we're looking for
We are looking for an eCommerce Manager to drive the growth of Fortela's digital channel, from our own online store to marketplaces, bringing together commercial strategy, user experience and day-to-day operations. The role reports directly to the CEO, works closely with the Merchandising and Communications teams, and manages the eCommerce Assistant.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow the Fortela online store and marketplace presence, with full ownership of performance, catalogue and operational continuity.
- Build the digital channel's commercial strategy together with the wider team, including Merchandising and Communications, and develop the product launch calendar and related campaigns.
- Work with the performance marketing agency to set the high-level strategy and calendar, oversee campaign execution, and track KPIs and results.
- Plan and manage digital content production for the store, marketplaces and campaigns.
- Manage marketplace relationships: negotiations, commercial plans, monitoring of sales and terms, and alignment of assortments and promotions.
- Oversee UX/UI improvements to the site and follow up on tech developments, coordinating developers on bug fixes, new features and customer journey optimisation.
- Work with the Merchandising Manager to keep assortment, online merchandising and brand identity consistent.
- Monitor logistics and order fulfilment,
keeping delivery times and service quality on track together with Operations and Customer Care.
- Analyse site KPIs and sales data (traffic, conversion, AOV) to define concrete improvement actions across markets and channels.
- Produce regular weekly, monthly and annual reports on sales and performance, and set up analytics and structured reporting.
- Define and lead projects to integrate new marketplaces, from partner selection through technical and commercial onboarding.
- Supervise and train the eCommerce Assistant.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in eCommerce, ideally in fashion or lifestyle.
- Proven experience managing owned online stores (ideally Shopify) and marketplace operations.
- Strong experience with analytics tools, reporting and performance analysis.
- Experience managing the on-site user experience, including developing features with tech teams and designers, optimising the customer journey, and driving improvements based on data and best practice.
- Experience in project and stakeholder management, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of logistics and order fulfilment processes.
- Knowledge of competitors and the industry is a plus.
Compensation: starting from €40K gross per year, CCNL Commercio.
