Occupational Health and Safety Technician

SGF Global is seeking an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Technician with a background in the industrial, energy, infrastructure, or construction sectors to support projects across Italy.
The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, promoting a strong prevention culture, and working closely with operational teams to maintain safe and efficient working environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
- Organize and deliver safety training and awareness sessions.
- Participate in internal audits, inspections, and checks at construction sites and operational facilities.
- Investigate incidents and workplace accidents, identify root causes, and define corrective actions.
- Prepare technical reports and safety documentation.
- Coordinate safety-related activities with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with operational procedures.
- Support project managers on all HSE-related matters.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives in workplace safety.
Requirements
- Degree or technical diploma in a relevant field.
- Qualification as an Occupational Health and Safety Technician or equivalent HSE training.
- At least three years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in the construction, energy, telecommunications, engineering systems, or infrastructure sectors.
- Knowledge of Italian occupational health and safety regulations.
- Willingness to travel frequently throughout Italy.
- Fluency in Italian.
- English proficiency is considered an advantage.
