We seek an inspiring and passionate Geography Teacher to join an experienced and high-performing department and teach from Key Stage 3 to Sixth Form IB.
The successful candidate will be well-qualified, dedicated, energetic, and have a proven record of inspiring students.
English fluency is essential as the curriculum is delivered entirely in English.
Responsibilities
Teaching:
Deliver engaging, challenging lessons across
Key Stage 3, Cambridge IGCSE and IB Diploma
, adapting teaching to different abilities and helping students make strong progress.
Assessment & feedback:
Set and mark homework, assess students, maintain accurate records, analyse performance data, and give feedback that helps students improve.
Student support:
Provide academic support and contribute to students'
wellbeing, personal development and pastoral care
, particularly as a tutor.
IB/IGCSE responsibilities:
Stay informed about curriculum developments, help students with
IB Internal Assessments
, and contribute ideas for improving the curriculum.
Enrichment:
Run or support
co-curricular and super-curricular activities
, clubs,

educational visits and guest-speaker opportunities.
University preparation:
Help students prepare for university applications and progression.
Administration:
Attend parent meetings and staff/department meetings, write reports, keep records up to date, and use non-teaching periods for planning, marking and meetings.
Technology:
Use appropriate ICT tools and resources to enhance learning.
Professional conduct:
Maintain high standards of professionalism, punctuality, safeguarding and ethical behaviour; treat students respectfully and maintain appropriate teacher-student boundaries.
School community:
Follow the school's policies and ethos and take on other reasonable duties when required.
Qualifications
A good and relevant degree
A recognised teaching qualification to the equivalent of IB Diploma level
At least 1 year of experience teaching in a school
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
