/ph3Job Description /h3pHitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated System Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks within our Rolling Stock Engineering Department.
The position is based in Pistoia or Napoli - IT.
/ph3Accountabilities /h3ulliPrepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS) /liliDefine and manage system interfaces (both internal and external) throughout the entire project lifecycle /liliAnalyze and assess technical documentation from Suppliers /liliPrepare and verify system installation/integration drawings/specifications /liliConduct design reviews (both internal and with suppliers) for the assigned onboard systems, under the supervision of relevant Engineering Managers and Project Engineers /liliPrepare Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS) as well as Functional Test Specifications (FTS) (including performance tests) for the assigned onboard systems /liliAttend at system stand-alone type test and review of type test reports /liliSupport onboard integration, performance testing and validation phases /liliReview design documentation with customers and suppliers /liliEnsure compliance with input requirements, international railway regulations and standards and project constraints (time, cost, quality) /liliPrepare the documentation required for vehicle approval and support the homologation phase /li /ulh3Required Skills/ Knowledge Experience /h3ulliExperience (3-5 years)
in the Railway sector or in complex industrial environments /liliGood knowledge of main railway regulations and standards /liliGood knowledge of IBM DOORS requirements management tool /liliGood knowledge of engineering processes and railway operations /liliGood knowledge of system engineering and requirements management disciplinesGood knowledge of RAMS principles and processes /liliGood knowledge of design verification and validation methodologies /liliGood knowledge of electrical / mechanical design software (AutoCAD, Creo, Catia, etc.) /liliGood knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering disciplines /liliGood knowledge of office automation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) /liliAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, international and multicultural environment /liliGood organizational skills, alongside team-working, problem-solving and results-driven mindset /liliAbility to liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including suppliers, partners, customers) /liliAbility to work within project teams under minimal supervision /liliAvailability for occasional short-term national and international business trips /li /ulh3Desired Skills/ Knowledge /h3ulliFast learner with strong willingness to stay up to date with technological developments /liliGood business acumen combined with solid technical skills /liliGood communication and interpersonal skills /li /ulh3Education/Qualifications /h3ulliMaster's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics disciplines preferred).
