Overview
In this role you will drive continuous improvement in supplier quality for Baker Hughes, collaborating with Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing and Logistics to minimize defects and reduce quality-related costs. You will qualify and develop suppliers, lead root-cause analyses, and support corrective actions while aligning the supply base with business needs. This position offers exposure to a global energy technology environment focused on quality, efficiency, and supplier development. You will work in a cross-functional setting to deliver robust, data-driven quality solutions.

Responsabilità
- Identify, scout, and select potential new suppliers
- Qualify suppliers per company standards
- Conduct periodic supplier audits for compliance
- Lead RCA with suppliers and support corrective actions
- Review on-the-job inspection results per Quality Control Plans




- Assist suppliers with Deviation Request (SDR) management
- Manage supplier-related Non-Conformity Records (NCR)
- Provide technical support to buyers/engineering/BOM teams to meet purchasing needs

Requisiti fondamentali
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or minimum 5 years of experience in quality/engineering/testing
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Fluency in English and Italian
- Proficiency with PC and office software
- Willingness to travel frequently
- Knowledge of ISO9001 quality systems
- Knowledge of welding, NDT, surface preparation, and painting
- Understanding of Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience with root cause analysis (NCA/RCA) and corrective actions
- Effective problem-solving
- Strong negotiation and facilitation
- Excellent communication (internal and external)
- Technical drawing interpretation
- Quality systems (ISO9001)
- Welding techniques, NDT, surface
