Overview As a Mechanical Designer at IMA BFB, you will shape the layout and mechanical components of end-of-line packaging machines. You will translate customer needs and regulatory requirements into robust designs while aligning with timelines and cost targets. You will collaborate across functions to refine BOMs, ensure safety requirements, and support testing and documentation. This role offers exposure to global, cross-functional projects in a multinational setting and a clear path to contribute to scale and innovation in automated packaging. Retribuzione / Benefits Global environment Diversity & inclusion culture Continuous learning Wellbeing: flexible working, health insurance Responsabilità Define machine or plant layout and design components, assemblies, and format parts Develop mechanical aspects of new functions based on customer specs and regulatory requirements Ensure mechanical designs meet project timelines and cost targets Prepare and update BOMs for production launch Evaluate manufacturing processes, tolerances, and treatments for functional performance Contribute to safety requirements and participate in risk assessments (product, process,



operator) Monitor and update technical project documentation (specs, drawings, BOMs, archiving) Assist in machine technical file preparation and testing protocols with Documentation Department Participate in testing and trials for new assemblies or functionalities Coordinate with production, quality, R&D; and other departments through the project lifecycle Provide support to pre-sales, after-sales, and marketing activities Requisiti fondamentali Bachelor or Master in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) Approximately 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer Experience in technical design offices, preferably in automatic machinery, industrial automation, primary packaging, or manufacturing Proficiency in parametric 3D CAD software Ability to manage technical project documentation Good working knowledge of English Strong interpersonal skills Attention to detail Ability to work in structured teams on complex projects Parametric 3D CAD Technical project documentation management
