Overview

As a Software and Connectivity Engineer, you will develop and maintain software for our controllers and connectivity systems, and analyze data to inform After Sales and Engineering teams. You will work across software and IoT domains, integrating machines with cloud and enterprise systems. This role offers the chance to shape machine monitoring, data analytics, and digitalization initiatives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. You will contribute to innovative connectivity projects within Atlas Copco’s ecosystem, adding tangible impact to product performance and customer value.

Responsabilità

- Program controllers and PLCs using C and PLC languages (Python a plus)
- Design, integrate, and validate IoT sensors and connectivity for machine monitoring and data collection
- Implement signal acquisition, processing, and analysis from connected devices
- Analyze telematics and IoT data to identify behavior patterns and inform performance improvements




- Contribute to Azure-based solutions and data analytics / ML applications
- Support connectivity and digitalization projects, ensuring integration between machines, cloud platforms, and ERP/enterprise systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to test, validate, and continuously improve connected products

Requisiti fondamentali

- University degree in Computer Science, IT, electronic engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years experience in manufacturing environments
- 3+ years experience with SQL / Synapse Analytics / Power BI / Azure
- 3+ years experience with programming languages (C++, Python) and with Cloud/Edge computing
- Knowledge of latest IoT sensors, signal acquisition and processing
- Data analysis skills; ML knowledge a plus
- Experience in Connectivity projects and CANBUS J1939 is a plus
- Strong problem solving, time management, and collaboration skills
- Fluent in Italian and good English (spoken and written)
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
- Microsoft 365 proficiency and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
