Sales Manager – Logistics & Freight Forwarding | Genoa
We are supporting an international logistics and freight forwarding company in the search for an experienced Sales Manager based in Genoa.
This is an opportunity for a commercially driven professional to take ownership of business development and customer growth in the Italian market, within a growing international organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for the Italian market
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across sea, air, road and multimodal freight
- Build and manage relationships with key customers, partners and stakeholders
- Lead commercial meetings, negotiations, presentations and contract discussions
- Manage the sales pipeline, forecasting and achievement of commercial targets
- Coordinate freight quotations with Operations and Procurement
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, competition and freight rates
- Maintain accurate CRM reporting and sales activity tracking
- Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs and networking opportunities
- Work closely with Operations to ensure strong customer service and retention
The profile:
- 5+ years of sales experience within logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain
- Strong understanding of international freight and logistics
- Proven track record in business development and generating new business
- Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-management skills
- Commercially minded with an entrepreneurial approach
- Experience working with CRM and sales reporting tools
- Fluent Italian and English
- Comfortable working independently in an international environment
