We commit to maintain the critical facility infrastructure of AWS and ensuring the standards for operational performance in the areas of safety, security, availability, productivity, capacity, efficiency and cost. The DCEO Team is seeking individuals who are motivated, self-starters, eager to learn, passionate and committed to join us. If you enjoy working in a strong, close-knit and diverse team, Infrastructure Operations Team is the place to be! /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liOversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and control systems, ensuring safety, security, availability, and performance across the data center. /li liLead and develop teams of 24x7 Engineering Operations Technicians and Chief Engineer, covering all aspects of people management, performance, career growth, and technical management. /li liManage and coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to data center operations. /li liDevelop and review operation documentation including MOP, SOP, and EOP where applicable.
/li liEngage in expansion and improvement projects from conception to completion, coordinating across internal support teams and external stakeholders. /li liOversee third-party vendor relationships, setting high performance standards, driving accountability, and ensuring adherence to contracted SLAs through regular performance reviews. /li liManage CapEx and OpEx effectively to suit operational needs. /li liServe as the primary point of contact for the data center, manage Large Scale Events (LSEs) or outages, and maintain readiness through frequent and effective drills. /li liLead incident investigations for unplanned events, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are documented, tracked, and closed. /li liSupport audits, inspections, and compliance reviews conducted by internal or external parties. /li /ul h3About the team /h3 pAbout AWS /p h3Diverse Experiences /h3 pAWS values diverse experiences. If the country/region you’re applying in isn’t listed, please contact your Recruiting Partner. /p h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field /li liKnowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations including systems such as feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, chillers, pumps, air handling units, and CRAC units /li li8+ years of critical facility engineering and operations experience, 5+ years in people management experience with direct reports as their performance manager /li liA valid Registered Electrical Worker (REW) Certificate (Grade B0 or above) /li liIn-depth experience in change, problem and incident management /li liDemonstrated communication skills in presentation, open discussion, team coaching /li liFluent verbal and written proficiency in Chinese and English /li liFinancial understanding in annual budgeting, Capex and Opex concepts /li liProject management skills /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liA holder of Grade C0 Registered Electrical Worker (REW) Certificate /li liExperience in major facilities incident management /li liExperience in data center Safety and Security measures /li liKnowledge of Data Center capacity planning and KPI reporting /li liExperience of critical maintenance works, including LV WR2, HV WR2, Pull the Plug test /li liKnowledge of IT services such as servers, network, cabling and platform /li /ul pAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
