Hitachi Energy is seeking a Global Supplier Development Engineer for the Business Unit Transformers to join our innovative and forward-thinking team. In this role, you will ensure our suppliers deliver high-quality materials while maintaining cost-effectiveness. You will implement proactive quality assurance processes to enhance the quality and delivery performance of our supply base. Aligning with our Category Strategy, you will lead supplier assessments, manage development initiatives, oversee parts approvals, and drive continuous improvement, ultimately elevating our supplier partnerships and contributing to our operational excellence. How You Will Make An Impact Lead the supplier qualification process by conducting SAP Ariba assessments and executing global on-site audits to ensure supplier compliance and capability.
Implement improvement actions at suppliers based on audit findings and identified process improvements, fostering enhanced collaboration and quality outcomes.



Oversee the global parts approval process to ensure supplier materials and components meet technical and operational requirements. Monitor supplier performance indicators and drive the annual Supplier Performance Evaluation process to identify and address low-performing suppliers.
Develop and implement action plans for supplier performance recovery, working closely with suppliers to ensure the effectiveness of corrective measures. Resolve escalated non-conformities with suppliers by leading root cause analysis and ensuring proper implementation of corrective actions. Drive continuous improvement in supplier management processes at a global level, ensuring compliance and promoting best practices across the business unit.
Support SCM sustainability initiatives by executing tasks related to sustainability and compliance, ensuring alignment with material and supplier sustainability goals. Your background Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of exper
