In this role, you’ll work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

What You’ll Do
- Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
- Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
- Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
- Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
- Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
- Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.




- Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.

General RequirementsEDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED. Successful completion of accredited/approved:
- MA program and MA Externship;
- MA Internship;
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program;
- Paramedic program; or
- Certified Athletic Trainer.

If credentialed, maintains current MA Re-Certification CEUs.
CREDENTIALS/LICENSUREMA-Non-Credentialed I: MA eligible to attain Medical Assistant Certification is desired, or EMT with current/active license in the State of Michigan, or Paramedic following successful completion of the National Registry Paramedic Exam and/or holds a current/active license in the State of Michigan. Valid CPR certification.
MA-Credentialed I: Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following certifying agencies:
- American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
- American Medical Technologists (RMA)
- National Center for Competency
