About the Role

JMC Aviation is recruiting experienced Aircraft Painters to support aircraft painting, coating and sealing activities in Pisa, Italy. This is a great opportunity to work within a high-quality aerospace environment, carrying out specialist surface preparation and finishing activities on aircraft and aircraft components.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out surface preparation and finishing on metal and composite aircraft parts
- Apply conversion coatings, primers and exterior finish paints to aluminium components
- Carry out aircraft paint and coating applications in accordance with relevant specifications and procedures
- Accurately measure and control paint thickness
- Carry out preparation activities including masking and sanding
- Carry out aircraft sealant applications where required
- Complete paint and coating work on removed aircraft components
- Carry out localised painting and finishing directly on the aircraft
- Work safely at height and operate PLE/platform lifts where required
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with technical documentation, quality requirements and aerospace standards

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

- Certified to both PS-02-ARP and PS-07-ARP covering aircraft paint/coatings and sealants
- Previous hands-on aircraft painting and surface finishing experience
- Experience working on metal and composite aircraft components
- Experience applying conversion coatings,



primers and exterior finish paints
- Experience working with aluminium aircraft parts and structures
- Ability to measure and control paint thickness
- Trained to work at height and/or operate PLE/platform lifts
- Mandatory courses, kept current: FOD, HF, SMS, MAL/NAM, EWIS, FTS, MMOE and MANMAN.
- Right to work in the EU

Desirable:

- Previous military aircraft experience
- Aircraft production experience
- Experience carrying out aircraft sealing applications
- Experience within both production and maintenance/MRO environments
