Senior Software Engineer
Pubblicato il 02-10-2026 - Duferco in Lecce
We are expanding Duferco's Corporate Innovation Team: a fast-moving engineering team operating in a startup-style environment, backed by the stability and scale of a global diversified group.
We are reimagining the core systems behind our industrial operations, built for a world where AI is part of every step of software development.
As a Senior Software Engineer with a systems architect mindset, you will help shape how these systems are designed, how they stay reliable, and how we build software with AI.
We are looking for someone curious and pragmatic, who enjoys shaping solutions from the ground up and is motivated by the opportunity to have a lasting impact on how critical systems are designed and built.
About the Team
We sit close to real business problems and have the freedom to prototype and ship quickly. AI is already part of our daily workflow, and we expect that role to keep expanding.
We care about building things well, shipping systems that create leverage, and working with people who make the team better.
We appreciate engineers who enjoy ownership, fast iteration,
pragmatic problem-solving, and raising the standard for everyone around them.
What You'll Do
Help define what modern, AI-native core systems look like, and build them with the team:
- Design the architecture of our next-generation operational systems: domain boundaries, data ownership, and integration contracts.
- Make correctness part of the design, so that transactions and state stay consistent under concurrency, retries, and partial failures.
- Improve our software development lifecycle for AI-assisted engineering: how specifications, tests, code review, and verification work when agents write much of the code.
- Develop and promote engineering best practices, reference implementations, and reusable components that make future systems faster and safer to build.
- Shape how we gain confidence in critical systems: testing strategies, validation approaches, and observability.
