Senior Accountant - Technical Accounting based in Italy.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to IFRS accounting and reporting within a global, fast-moving organization operating across international markets.

You will take ownership of technical accounting research, contract assessments, accounting memos, and key reporting activities.

The position combines technical accounting expertise with hands-on involvement in month-end close, consolidation, and external audits.

You will work closely with Finance leadership, Corporate Accounting, Legal, Tax, FP&A;, and business teams to assess complex transactions.

Your work will help ensure accounting conclusions are well-supported, consistently applied, and aligned with applicable IFRS requirements.

The role provides exposure to a broad range of accounting topics, including revenue, leases, impairment, provisions, consolidation, and related parties.

It is well suited to an experienced accountant who brings strong judgment, attention to detail, and confidence working across a multinational environment.

Accountabilities




- Review contracts and business arrangements to determine their accounting implications, with particular focus on revenue recognition under IFRS 15 and lease accounting under IFRS 16.
- Research IFRS guidance and prepare technical accounting memos and position papers covering revenue, leases, impairment, provisions, consolidation, related parties, and other relevant accounting topics.
- Support month-end close activities through trial balance reviews, account analysis, and identification of unusual, complex, or judgmental items.
- Prepare and review consolidation entries, including intercompany eliminations, reclassifications, accruals, and other group reporting adjustments.
- Coordinate with external auditors during year-end processes, including local statutory audits and group audit requirements.
