The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Plant Technician to take a lead technical role within our Maintenance/Engineering team. The successful candidate will oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of the hotel's plant and mechanical systems, providing hands-on technical expertise while guiding and supporting junior technicians to ensure all equipment runs safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities: - Take the lead on operating, monitoring,
and maintaining plant room equipment, including boilers, chillers, pumps, HVAC systems, and water treatment plant - Plan and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for all mechanical and electromechanical plant equipment - Diagnose complex faults and lead on repairs, minimising downtime and disruption to hotel operations - Oversee the pool plant, water systems, and related filtration/pumping equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards - Guide, train, and supervise junior plant technicians and maintenance staff, allocating tasks and reviewing work quality - Maintain accurate logs of plant readings, maintenance carried out, and any irregularities, and report on plant performance to management - Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and lead on risk assessments related to plant operations - Act as first point of escalation for plant-re
