Strategic Marketing Manager

The Market Strategy Manager will lead the commercial optimisation of Sonnedix’s participation in the Italian wholesale electricity markets, with a particular focus on Day-Ahead, intraday and Ancillary Services markets. The role will be responsible for developing and executing effective short-term market and bidding strategies, overseeing the Route-to-Market framework, and analysing market performance to maximise revenues while identifying and managing commercial and market risks. By monitoring market dynamics, competitor activity and regulatory developments, the successful candidate will provide actionable insights that support Sonnedix’s competitive positioning and commercial objectives.
Working collaboratively across commercial operations, short-term energy management, asset management and regulatory teams, the Market Strategy Manager will also contribute to the development of forecasting, valuation and bidding optimisation tools for solar PV and battery energy storage assets. The role will use data-driven analysis,
scenario modelling and performance reporting to support informed decision-making, improve asset value and ensure effective, compliant market participation.
Strong understanding of Italian power markets, including Day-Ahead, intraday and Ancillary Services markets, with an awareness of market dynamics and pricing drivers
Experience developing, implementing and optimising short-term trading or bidding strategies for renewable energy generation and/or battery energy storage assets
Understanding of Route-to-Market models and frameworks, including commercial optimisation, market access, compliance and the technical performance of assets
Ability to work effectively with commercial, energy management, asset management, regulatory and other teams to develop and deliver commercially focused solutions
