About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Sales Manager to join our team in Vado Ligure. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving commercial growth, strengthening customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and leading a high-performing sales team.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in expanding our landside business activities, developing value-creating solutions for customers, and contributing to the long-term growth strategy of the terminal.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Commercial Growth
- Develop and execute sales strategies that drive profitable growth and support the terminal's commercial objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities, develop landside service offerings, and expand existing customer relationships.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and pipeline management to negotiation and contract closure.
- Deliver sales targets and implement go-to-market initiatives that strengthen the terminal's market position.
Build Strategic Customer Relationships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
- Understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions that create long-term value.
- Lead customer reviews, performance discussions, and business development initiatives to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Commercial Performance Management
- Monitor sales performance, pipeline health, profitability, and commercial KPIs.
- Manage forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and opportunity reviews to support business growth.
- Provide commercial insights and support the Global Commercial Operating System with accurate data and analysis.
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, coach, and develop the Sales Executive while fostering a high-performance culture.
- Promote collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and adherence to APM Terminals' values and standards.
