Join us and help run what runs the world.This position reports to:Global Category ManagerYour role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support global sourcing initiatives and category strategies for electronic components across ABB's Smart Power division. Each day, you will leverage your technical and commercial expertise to ensure suppliers meet business requirements while optimizing cost, quality, delivery, reliability and sustainability. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring purchasing activities align with ABB procurement policies and procedures.The work model for the role is: hybridYou will be mainly accountable for:Supporting the definition, development, and implementation of global sourcing strategies for Active, Passive,
and Power Electronic Components in close alignment with the global category leader.Collaborating with Agile Teams and R&D; to support component selection, develop sourcing strategies and mitigate supply risks across the product lifecycle.Leading global RFQ/RFP processes, conducting cost benchmarking and TCO analyses and negotiating commercial agreements with electronic component and semiconductor suppliers.Developing and maintaining long-term agreements and strategic supplier relationships while supporting supplier onboarding, evaluation and performance management.Monitoring semiconductor market trends, component lifecycles, and supplier performance to proactively manage risk and ensure supply continuity.Driving cost savings initiatives through competitive sourcing, volume consolidation, design-to-cost and value engineering programs.Supporting digital supply chain visibility through analytics and reporting while providing regular updates on category performance to senior management.Ensuring compliance with ABB procuremen
